Privacy Policy

The short version: your files never leave your device, and we don’t collect personal data.

Your files

Every conversion happens locally, inside your browser. When you choose a file it is read into memory on your own device, converted there, and returned to you as a download. Your files are never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never seen by us or anyone else. The page is served with a Content-Security-Policy that blocks it from sending file data to any other origin — the privacy guarantee is enforced by your browser, not just promised. You can check that header yourself; how it works shows the exact command.

Accounts and cookies

There are no accounts and no logins, so we never ask for your name, email, or any personal detail. QuietFiles does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not track you across other websites. The only thing kept on your device is your light or dark theme choice, stored as a single word in your browser’s local storage once you use the theme switch. It is never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count things like page views and which pages people land on. It sets no cookies, uses no fingerprinting, and never follows you to other websites — it only produces aggregate counts. We never collect anything that identifies you, and never anything about the contents, names, or types of the files you convert.

Because the measurement reports back to this site’s own domain, the Content-Security-Policy described above stays exactly as strict as it was: analytics cannot become a route for your file data to leave your device.

Hosting

The site is static files served over a content delivery network. As with essentially all web hosting, the network may process basic request information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This is standard infrastructure logging and is not used to build a profile of you.
